DON’T ATTRACT GOD’S BAN
You shall not curse God, nor curse a ruler of your people (Exodus 22:28). Don’t attract God’s ban is a message preparing you for God’s holiness and righteousness. And be free from God’s prominent punishment.
CAN GOD BAN A MAN? DON’T ATTRACT GOD’S BAN
Yes, then GOD stepped in and spoke to Elijah the Tishbite, “On your feet; go down and confront Ahab of Samaria, king of Israel. You’ll find him in the vineyard of Naboth; he’s gone there to claim it as his own.
Say this to him: ‘GOD’s word: What’s going on here? First murder, then theft?’ Then tell him, ‘GOD’s verdict: The very spot where the dogs lapped up Naboth’s blood, they’ll lap up your blood-that’s right, your blood.'” Kings 21:17-19
BUSINESS OF EVIL DEFILES GOD
Ahab answered Elijah, “My enemy! So, you’ve run me down!” “Yes, I’ve found you out,” said Elijah. “And because you’ve bought into the business of evil, defying GOD.
I will most certainly bring doom upon you, make mincemeat of your descendants, kill off every sorry male wretch who’s even remotely connected with the name Ahab.
And I’ll bring down on you the same fate that fell on Jeroboam son of Nebat and Baasha son of Ahijah-you’ve made me that angry by making Israel sin.'” As for Jezebel, GOD said, “Dogs will fight over the flesh of Jezebel all over Jezreel. Anyone tainted by Ahab who dies in the city will be eaten by stray dogs; corpses in the country will be eaten by carrion crows.” 1 Kings 21:20-23.
CAUSE NO ONE TO DO EVIL LET’S HIM BE BAN
Jezebel wrote letters over Ahab’s signature, stamped them with his official seal, and sent them to the elders in Naboth’s city and to the civic leaders.
She wrote Call for a fast day and put Naboth at the head table. Then seat a couple of stool pigeons across from him who, in front of everybody will say, ‘You! You blasphemed God and the king!’ Then they will throw him out and stone him to death. And they did it.
The men of the city-the elders and civic leaders-followed Jezebel’s instructions that she wrote in the letters sent to them.
THE EVIL PLAN ACCOMPLISHED
They called for a fast day and seated Naboth at the head table. Then they brought in two stool pigeons and seated them opposite Naboth. In front of everybody the two degenerates accused him, “He blasphemed God and the king!” The company threw him out in the street, stoned him mercilessly, and he died. 1 Kings 21:8,11.

In a viral story that broke in 2018, it was reported that Italian midfielder, Rolando Mandragora, was banned for one Seria. A game after making “blasphemous remarks” during his team’s 1-0 win over Sampdoria. He was said to have referred to God as a dog. The young man was caught on television cursing God.
Funny enough, as reported, he received only a match ban. Don’t be tempted to follow the steps of the Italian who got off the hook lightly.
DO NOT CURSE THE LORD YOUR GOD
Leviticus 25:15 says, ”You will speak to the sons of Israel, saying, if anyone curses his God , then he will bear his sin.” Then Paul says in 1 Corinthians 12:3 “Wherefore I give you to understand that no man speaking by the Spirit of God called Jesus accursed…”
Be careful about making a joke of anything that has to do with God.
GOD HONOUR THOSE WHO HONOUR HIM
God blesses those who honour Him. 1 Samuel 2:30 says,”…But now the Lord saith, be it for from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed,” from our the scripture, you will notice that the charge against Naboth was that he cursed God and the kings and for that he was executed.
It was a false accusation though, but our prayer is that it we will not also be truly charged of the same offence.
If men ban you. God can cancel it. But, if God places a ban on you who will release you from it?
For I assure you that if God say yes nobody can say no and if God say no nobody can say yes.
Oh! Lord, pleases do not allow me to incur your wrath. And do not allow me to be deceived in the name of Jesus. Amen.
