LIVING AS SPIRITUAL BEINGS
Living as a spiritual being is walking with God in holiness and righteousness. As God exist in Trinity, man also exist in Trinity. God the Father, God the son and God the holy Spirit (Holy Ghost). (LIVING AS SPIRITUAL BEINGS). Before I continue to talk about living in spirit or living as a spiritual being I should let you know that man also exist in Trinity. Man exist in the body, the soul and in the spirit. The body is battling with the spirit in the soul and vice versa. (LIVING AS SPIRITUAL BEINGS)
DO YOU WORK IN THE BODY OR IN THE SPIRIT
This is just like a weighing balance, if you give chance to the body this will take over the soul while if you allow the spirit it will take over the soul. Therefore the one you give chance will rule.
But then I say to you, walk in the spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that you would.
ARE YOU UNDER THE LAW (LIVING AS SPIRITUAL BEINGS)
But if you be led of the Spirit, you are not under the law.
IF YOU ARE UNDER THE LAW THE FOLLOWING LEDS YOU
The works of the flesh are manifest, which are these ; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, and heresies.
And also envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
That means if you live in the way of the world you shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
IF YOU’RE NOT UNDER THE LAW YOU BEAR GOOD FRUIT
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are in Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
ARE YOU LIVING OPPOSITE LIFE AT THE SAME TIME
The Scripture says, one of the main reasons a typical Jew abhorred a samaritan was that a typical Samaritan was a HALF JEW and a HALF GENTILE. In otherwords, such a person was neither here nor there; he was neither a complete Jew nor a complete Gentile. Yet, he knows how to be a Jew and a Gentile at the sametime-living two OPPOSITE lives at the same time.
Put in today’s Christian context, a “Samaritan” in the church is both spiritual and secular at the same time. He lives two opposite lives. Context is what determines whether he will behave like a spiritual person or a secular person.
ARE YOU LIGHT OR DARKNESS?
It is a life of double and opposing standards – a life of being black and white, light anddarkness, and a saint and a villain, all at the same time, and by the same person.
YOU ARE IN THE WORLD BUT NOT OF THE WORLD
But a spiritual person is in this world, but not of this world. He may be trained in the sciences of the secular and be vast in the knowledge of secular culture and equally operate in secular palaces. He may even have degrees in the courts, palaces, and secular universities.
Yet, such a person does not live under the influence of the cultures and traditions of the secular system. His behaviour is consistently spiritual, and not subject to any contextual changes.
TRUE CHRISTIAN LIVING
The spiritual person doesn’t live a dichotomized life of one foot in God and the other in the world. Instead, he serves the living God in spirit and in truth; and he is able to discern, dissect, appropriate, and execute eternal principles in every sphere of life. He may live in “Babylon,” but will not allow “Babylon” to rule over his spirit.
Instead, he literally rules in the midst of his or her enemy -the world.
We are called to walk and live by the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
We are spiritual people. Let’s be more spiritually minded. we should work in holiness and righteousness through Christ our Lord. If we walk in spirit we are not going to battle with sin.PRAYER
Oh! Lord my God, help me to walk in the spirit so that I will work in your righteousness and holiness through Christ our Lord. Amen.
